stumbled across marco mazzoni's art work in the recent issue of hi-fructose magazine. the first image in this post graced the cover and it was instant attraction. i never imagined myself to grow so fond of flowers, but the older i get the more i love being surrounded by them. however i am very particular about my flowers and floral print anything. the way these botanical dreams are depicted in marco mazzoni's work is ideally what i look for when i buy my flowers and floral print pieces. the muted shades and combination of colors used along with the bleached out feminine figures, subtle butterflies and birds creates a beautiful and yet melancholy aesthetic. im a fan. these beauties are all done by colored pencils on paper. i may need to purchase a piece....would work perfect with the aesthetic of my room.
